Schlufi's is a food
product business owned and operated by Roman Manser and Lisa Grassby,
which features Swiss German baking and chocolate work. Roman Manser
is a Swiss-German Chef/Pastry Chef and Chocolatier with 25 years
hotel and industry experience. Our two principal products best
suited to retail sale are the Engadiner Nut Torte, smooth caramel
and walnuts fully encased in butter shortbread, and a wide range
of hand-made Swiss chocolate truffles.

Schlufi's
Engadiner Nut Torte originated in the St.Moritz area of Switzerland
where they were baked for the herdsmen of the family to take on their
arduous 3 - 4 month journey away from home in order to take their
herd up the mountains in search of good pasture. 'Engadiners' will
last for 3 months and are best-kept and eaten at room temperature
with the caramel and walnut mix maturing over time. 'Engadiners' are
available at Tarra Valley Rainforest Retreat, local Gippsland eateries
and in Melbourne from Walma's Meats & Smallgoods (Swiss Deli and
Butcher) in Bayswater. |
